TRADEWINDS AWARDABLE!

“Using Alitheon’s FeaturePrint technology, we were able to validate and authenticate our products with unprecedented accuracy without the use of barcodes, QR codes, or physical tags! This breakthrough allows us to move toward a future where every individual item can tell its own story.”

Use Cases

Government & Military

General Eisenhower said, “Wars are won and lost on logistics”.

Today, the DoD faces complex challenges demanding efficient logistics and operational systems. Inventory management is vital to maintaining performance and readiness, especially in contested environments. But traditional methods—relying on tags, QR codes, and other markings—are vulnerable to tampering, damage, or counterfeiting, jeopardizing supply chain integrity.

While cybersecurity has adopted a Zero Trust model, physical asset management remains less secure, risking infiltration by fraudulent components that could compromise national security.

FeaturePrint technology addresses this issue by using machine vision to create unique, inherent identifiers for items, like fingerprints are for people. By capturing microscopic surface details, FeaturePrint ensures precise identification, authentication, and traceability, enhancing security without the need for additional markings.

“FeaturePrint offers groundbreaking capabilities that dramatically improve inventory management and readiness reporting, from the small unit level to the Army Enterprise and beyond. Its seamless integration into existing processes with expansive potential—extending upstream to supply chain partners—positions this technology as an invaluable application for advancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.”

The challenge

Inventory Management

Efficient inventory management in the government and military sector is essential for cost savings, as it minimizes holding costs and reduces the risk of loss or theft. Ensuring precise inventory control also guarantees the quality and authenticity of parts, maintaining trust and safety in the ecosystem.

Illegally Sourced Parts

Illegally made parts such as PCBAs, vehicle parts, non-serialized aircraft parts, and vessel filters, often indistinguishable from legitimate parts, lacks proper certification and quality, posing serious risks to the warfighters, operational readiness, and mission success.

Provenance and Traceability

Tracing government and military parts throughout their life-cycle can be complicated. The complexity of the supply chain makes it challenging to ensure that parts are legally sourced and not part of fraudulent activities, and that they are traced as they move globally, installed, used, and eventually are supposed to be discarded.

“I have seen firsthand how incredible Alitheon’s technology can be when applied to outdated Army processes like sensitive item accountability. The time saving and peace of mind provided to commanders at all echelons will be well worth fielding Alitheon’s tech.”

Identify and trace

From engine parts and weapons systems, to equipment and computer boards, you just need to take a photo of your product. With that one photo, our system will automatically create a baseline FeaturePrint (a digital fingerprint) that is unique and specific to that one item out of many. As each item is serialized by our system (even if it is not by yours), you can identify it individually, trace it, and ensure its provenance. Not at the batch, lot, or mold level, but rather at the individual item level.

Along your value chain, throughout your supply chain, or in theatre, you or others you authorize, will be able to take another photo of that item, and immediately identify, authenticate and trace it out of the millions, where it came from, and where else it has been. All with just pictures taken with your mobile phone. No engravings, markings, stickers, or tags.

Other uses

Start to Finish in 3 Steps

Just take a photo of your part, product, or item. Use a mobile phone or industrial camera.

No marking, changing, adding, or manipulating. No pixy dust, holograms, barcodes, tags or stickers. No x-ray, spectral imaging, 3D mapping, or infra red.

Our patented algorithms automatically identify and codify the unique attributes and features inherently existing on the item.

It then creates a one-of-a-kind FeaturePrint® (a 'digital fingerprint') that can be used for identification, authentication, and traceability. The ONE of millions. Just like your own fingerprint.

You, your customer, your distributer, your quality control, or anyone you choose, can take a picture of the item and identify it, authenticate it, and trace it. Simple.

No special scanners, readers, or tools. Just a camera. Even the one on your phone.
